Stump Grinding

Tree stump grinding and removal to regenerate your garden or landscape. Eco-plug treatment to prevent regrowth.

Tree stump removal and treatment

Once a tree has been safely felled, you’re left with a stump, sometimes with dramatic proportions. It’s not always necessary to remove them, however tree stumps can look unsightly and take up valuable growing space.

Complete tree stump removal using efficient grinding machinery helps you make the most of every space in your garden. It allows you to regenerate an area with a brand new planting scheme and gives new shrubs and saplings the best possible start in life.

Eco-plug stump treatment

Tree stumps can make great insect habitats. A tree stump is still a living thing. If left untreated, tree stumps will attempt to regrow, sending out small shoots that don’t always look pretty.

If you prefer to keep your tree stump as a feature, an eco-plug treatment may help to prevent regrowth. Eco-plugs contain a herbicide solution. Holes are drilled into the stump and the plugs inserted. As the plugs are contained in the stump, they are safe to use with no adverse effects on surrounding planting or environment.

I don’t have a path to the rear of my property.

Narrow or limited access is not an issue. Our compact equipment can be carried down narrow passageways and even (carefully) through a house, if needed. We can assess this when we carry out the site visit.

Stump grinding will destroy the tree stump to well beneath the earth’s surface. It does not remove the lateral tree roots under ground. Depending on the age of the tree, its roots could extend well beyond your garden boundaries. It is unlikely the tree roots that remain will sprout again, instead decaying over time.
