Tree surgery work has such a positive impact on the environment. Supporting trees to grow healthily, creating attractive habitats for wildlife, and creating beautiful green spaces for public leisure and private enjoyment are just a few.
Respect and sensitivity to the environment motivates us to find clean, green ways of disposing of the waste we create. Trees will always need pruning, hedges trimming, and sadly not every tree can be saved. It’s important that as much of the waste generated by our activities be recycled and nothing goes to landfill.
This is why we are proud to partner with Cheshire Green Waste. After a job is complete, our team turn the surplus green waste into woodchip and the majority is sent off to Cheshire Green Waste for recycling.
Disposing of Green Waste Sustainably
We have three sustainable methods of disposing of green waste generated by our tree surgery activities.
- We usually take all logs and timber back to our yard where it is chopped and chipped ready for recycling. Garden waste is either turned into woodchips and collected for biomass fuel production or animal bedding.
- Alternatively, if we remove a tree from your garden and you wish to store the timber and dry it for your own use as firewood, our team will happily cut it up ready for you to split.
- Local schools, parks and allotment societies can request full loads of woodchip for use as a mulch, weed suppressant, or as ground cover for pathways, playgrounds and forest schools. We deliver full loads of woodchip free of charge within our local area.

What is Biomass Fuel?
Biomass is a low-carbon, renewable, clean source of energy, generated from burning wood, plants and other organic matter. Most of the waste we create is turned into biomass pellets and logs which are used to fuel local green electricity power stations and other plant and machinery.
We love that our work has such a positive effect on our environment and we’re proud to play a small part in protecting our planet.

Do you sell seasoned logs for firewood?
Do you sell seasoned logs for firewood? Sadly, we cannot supply small volumes of logs for firewood. The majority of our green waste is chipped and turned into biomass fuel pellets.
How do I request a woodchip delivery for our school/park/allotment?
How do I request a woodchip delivery for our school/park/allotment? Contact us to request a load for use as weed suppressant. Please note, we are unable to offer this service to private addresses.
